What to look for
Upper deck
The 747 has a short upper-deck hump at the front. The A380's second passenger deck extends for almost the full fuselage length.
Nose
The 747 cockpit is high above a pointed lower nose. The A380 has a broad, rounded nose with cockpit windows positioned between its two decks.
Overall silhouette
The 747 looks long and tapered; the A380 looks taller, wider and more uniformly double-decked.
