What to look for
Start with the family
Separate narrowbody from widebody, then read fuselage proportions, wing position and engine count. Manufacturer clues make more sense after this first pass.
Read the face
Airbus cockpits often create a smoother mask-like outline, while Boeing windscreens tend to look more angular. Treat this as supporting evidence, not a universal rule.
Confirm twice
Use family-specific details such as 737 nacelles, 787 chevrons, A350 eye-mask or A380 full-length upper deck. Never rely on the airline paint scheme.
Make it stick
Can you identify them without the labels?
Use these clues in a short image quiz, then come back to the guide whenever you need a refresher.
