Using WhatPlane
You may use the service for personal, lawful learning and aircraft-spotting activities. You must provide accurate account information, keep access to your account secure and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.
Age and responsibility
You must be able to agree to these terms under the law where you live. If you are not, a parent or guardian must review and accept them for you and supervise paid purchases.
Accounts and guest access
Guests can complete the introductory quiz once before an account is required. Account features may include cloud progress, Fuel, practice allowances, purchases and subscriptions. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
Safe aircraft spotting
Do not trespass, enter restricted areas, obstruct roads, drive while using the app or rely on WhatPlane for navigation, flight safety or operational decisions.
Aircraft positions, identifications, schedules and other aviation data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. WhatPlane is an educational product, not an air-traffic, navigation or emergency service.
Acceptable use
You must not attack, scrape, reverse engineer or interfere with the service; bypass Fuel, access or payment controls; submit malicious content; impersonate another person; or use WhatPlane in a way that violates law or third-party rights. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.
Our content
WhatPlane’s software, lesson structure, branding, writing and original visual material belong to Rat Systems or its licensors. You may use them only through the service for personal learning. Aircraft names, airline marks and third-party imagery remain the property of their respective owners.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep WhatPlane available but do not promise uninterrupted service or permanent availability of every feature or aircraft dataset. We may improve, replace or retire features. If a change materially affects a paid service, applicable consumer rights continue to apply.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to those rights, WhatPlane is provided for education and entertainment, and Rat Systems is not responsible for losses caused by unsafe spotting, reliance on inaccurate aviation data, or events outside our reasonable control.
Ending use
You may stop using WhatPlane at any time. Subscription cancellation is described in the Subscription Terms. We may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated breaches, while preserving rights and remedies required by consumer law.
Contact and law
Contact support@ratsystems.uk before starting a formal dispute so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer protections in your country.
